ALL BLACK AND BROWN
ABAB is our initiative for African Diaspora Content and productions. We work with African immigrants and the broader black diaspora living across the United States to create multimedia entertainment and social justice work on the cross roads of arts advocacy and representation. Projects immigrants mirror and challenge the Black and Immigrant experience around racial equality, the Black Lives Matter Movement, breaking stereotypes about Africans and working with the spectrum of BIPOC artists across the world to center voices of People of color. We share empowerment storytelling for global audiences to experience art through the undiluted lens of Immigrant populations in the USA, the Caribbeans and Europe. Projects include concerts, musical artist showcases, visual art exhibitions, film productions and social workshops to build community and networking.
AFROFUSION (2022)
In 2022, we partnered with Harlem based Ethiopian Restaurant and film company 2A Productions, to developed and offer creative direction for @NYCAfroFusion. The themed event (which opened November 19th with Nigerian artist Dayodane and American talents Kobe and Uriah) showcases budding artists across New York, in monthly live band performances of their original compositions and covers by artists from Africa and the broader black diaspora.
